Founded by Norman Granz in 1954 in Los Angeles, CA, Norgran Records was formed to ease the distribution bottleneck at his other record label, Clef Records. Two years later Norgran Records was absorbed into Granz’s iconic Verve Records. Notable Artists: Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz, Johnny Hodges, Ben Webster, Lester Young, and more.
