Founded by Orrin Keepnews and Bill Grauer, Jr. in 1953, Riverside Records played an important role in jazz recordings in the 1950s and 60s. Notable artists: Thelonious Monk, Chet Baker, Bill Evans, Cannonball Adderly, and many more.
