Roost Records was founded in 1949 by Arthur Faden, Bill Faden, Monty Kay, and Ralph Watkins. The label was named after the famous Royal Roost jazz club in New York City. Notable artists: Stan Getz, Bud Powell, Sonny Stitt, and more.
