Description
Sphere Sound Records was launched as a subsidiary of Bell Records in 1965, with a focus on the then-growing “oldies” market. To do this, Larry Utall, the owner of Bell Records, licensed material from other New York labels (such as Fire/Fury and Herald/Ember). Sphere Sounds Records remained active until 1970. Notable artists: Elmore James, Lightnin’ Hopkins, Wilbert Harrison, and more.
